ST. CHARLES COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW KENNER FACILITY FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS

JANUARY 19, 2006: St. Charles Community Health Center has announced that medical services are now available at a new Kenner location.

Previously known as Pediatric Corner, the new St. Charles Community Health Center - Kenner Pediatric Corner will offer pediatric care, KidMed services, and immunizations for all ages. The Kenner location will also offer asthma & allergy services and podiatry services for adult patients as well as for children.

“The opening of the new Kenner location supports our 2006 goals of increasing availability of quality care to the underserved community,” stated Mark Keiser, St. Charles Community Health Center (SCCHC) CEO. "No appointments are required for immunizations. Appointments are generally available for other services on the same day or next day." Since Hurricane Katrina, SCCHC has seen its role as a health care leader and provider in the region expand as one of the few fully operational medical facilities in Southeast Louisiana.

"We are pleased to announce that Kelly Davillier, M.D. and Bahram Sadeghpour, M.D. are provinding medical services at our Kenner facility," Keiser stated. Both are board-certified pediatricians. In addition, Dr. Mohan Gandhi will be available at both the new Kenner office and the SCCHC main campus in Luling to provide allergy and asthma specialty services for both children and adult patients. Dr. Ghandi is a board-certified pediatrician and is an allergy and asthma specialist.

St. Charles Community Health Center - Kenner Pediatric Corner is located at 200 W. Esplanade, Suite 310. Open from 8am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday, appointments can be made by calling 504-464-8759.

The St. Charles Community Health Center Main Campus is located at 843 Milling Avenue in Luling and can be reached at (985) 785-5800. Regular hours of operation at the Luling campus are: Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
